In a double boiler melt chocolate. I find this is the best way to melt chocolate. If you have not tried this before, its easy! One pot of boiling water, another pot on top with your chocolate. Keep stirring and the heat from the boiling water will warm the pot on top and melt your chocolate evenly.
Next crush the candy canes. Place into a plastic bag and smash with a spoon.
Have some pretzels on standby, because what happens next is the delicious part! Dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate and then dip into the crushed candy cane. Set each one onto wax paper and place into the fridge to harden.
In about 20 minutes you’ll have a delicious and beautiful Christmas treat!
