Fall is the most Canadian season !
We start in flip flops and end in snow boots. Our Canadian colours will never disappoint and the crisp air feels so good after a hot summer.
This season we had the chance to admire the colours along Stony Lake in the Kawarthas ! And with our new puppy Sunny, Viamede (dog friendly) resort was the perfect pick.
The colours across cottage country are pretty much at their peak!
Parks like Algonquin, Bon Echo and Killbear are 100% changed and about 40-60% leaf drop.
Here in the Kawarthas 90% change with 40% leaf drop.
The best way to take in the season is to drive ! Explore your own backyard in Ontario. Go for a hike and bring your camera. This season is so picturesque!
We love coming to Viamede. Their laid back nature, love of dogs and endless trails make it a perfect spot for a fall road trip.
Their farm was still stocked with pigs and turkeys too!
The weekend was pushed to perfection with an amazing 7-course dinner and wine pairing at Mount Julian. I love the contrast of fine dining and cottage life all wrapped up in one resort.
The chef here is truly phenomenal! You can tell he cooks and plates with such creativity and passion. My fiancé and I both agreed, this was probably the best meal we’ve ever had!
As we walked out we were greeted with the first snowfall of the season … picture perfect!
This time of year just makes me smile! So glad we had the chance to make it to Viamede this season!
How are you enjoying the fall colours this season ?
