Alarm Clock is Set! My Return to TV

Ask a mother how fast a year goes by. It’s truly remarkable! The days are long but the weeks are fast and somehow a full year – or for me 15 months- is even quicker.

My maternity leave is coming to an end and I am incredibly excited to return to your screens!

While I was on maternity leave I accepted a new position with The Weather Network. One that I have always been fascinated by.

While I was preparing for maternity leave, Chris St.Clair host of the weekend morning show, announced his retirement. I had always been a huge fan of his show and the whole vibe of the weekend morning. Long story short- I applied for the role and our wonderful team at TWN held the position for me until I was ready to return.

When I accepted the job my daughter was only a few weeks old- the thought of going back to work seemed like a lifetime away… and now it’s on my doorstep. Ill be back in the studio the first weekend of January and if all goes to plan- on your TV screens by the second weekend.

I feel incredibly lucky to spend every Saturday and Sunday morning with Canadians keeping you up to speed on your national forecast. Working for TWN has always been a dream of mine- and even 11 years in – this career keeps me passionate and excited. You can also catch me on CBC twice an hour with your weekend weather update.

If you have also followed my Health and Weather reporting- I hope to keep creating content for this brand. There are endless stories to tell about our health in connection to weather and climate. I find it to be such an educational project.

Thanks for sharing my journey with me. Through broadcast, running, motherhood, weather – whatever brings you here. Thank you and stay tuned!
